Start with the size of the pieces.

The denominator tells you how many equal parts make a whole. The numerator tells you how many parts you have. Rename a fraction by dividing each part into smaller, equal pieces.

2/3 = 4/6

Cut each third into two equal pieces. Two shaded thirds become four shaded sixths. Multiply both the numerator and denominator by 2; the amount stays the same.

Try this together

To compare 5/8 and 3/4, rename 3/4 as 6/8. The pieces now have the same size, so compare 5 and 6. Three quarters is greater.

What does the sample cover?

Five fixed questions on equivalent fractions, renaming, comparison, adding halves and quarters, and simplifying. This offers practice ideas rather than a mastery assessment.

What if games feel distracting?

Turn Game off in the quiz header for simple answer buttons. Explanations still appear.

What happens after the sample?

A parent can start seven days of practice without a card. After that, membership is US$5/month plus applicable taxes. You are charged only if you choose to subscribe. Saving a child’s progress online requires parent setup and separate consent.

Make the next step a little clearer.

After parent setup and consent, saved results show practice days, topics tried and suggestions for what to practise next.
